Because it didn’t occur to me that that might possibly be the very most offensive thing any comic artist is capable of doing.

Self Publishing questions!

amb0rg:

HEY Y’ALL!

A friend and I are researching both local (Seattle & Tacoma, WA) & online printers that would be good to go with for our upcoming zine.  It will be ~40 pages, b/w interior with full color cardstock cover (glossy or matte, haven’t decided!) & they must do perfect binding.

If any of you have experience or know someone who does, please let me know so I can pick your brain!  We’re trying to get cost/format/everything nailed down NOW so we can begin working and give participating artists all the correct info without having a print nightmare around actual deadline time haha.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

A.V. Club Interviews Pen
Noel Murray asks Pen the questions to which we all want the answers:

AVC: Are there any jokes or ideas you’ve come up with that have ended up being rejected by the network?
PW: Man, I should really take a day to remember all of this stuff. Really, it all comes back to a lot of poop and fart stuff that’s iffy with the network. I remember I was mixing an episode last night, mixing the sounds and effects and the picture all together at the post-house and there was a really long fart sound that I needed to have in there for the story to work, for the jokes to work. And I remember making a call and having a really serious conversation with the network about making sure that this fart can stay in there, and we went back and forth about how juicy it could be. I didn’t want it juicy, So he was like, “Oh, it can be really dry and that’s fine. As long as it’s not over the top. Diarrhetic.”
